The Intelligence Paradox
As AI makes intelligence abundant, your judgment becomes the scarcest resource. Discover the Jevons Paradox and why your bottleneck-finding skill is your new competitive edge.
Part 1: The Intelligence Paradox

AI can think. But can it decide? The more intelligence becomes free, the more rare your judgment becomes.
The Intelligence Paradox: as AI floods the world with answers, the bottlenecks only humans can solve become priceless.
This is the Jevons Paradox: when something gets cheaper, we use MORE of it — until the human bottleneck is all that's left.
Imagine a factory where machines do everything — except decide which products to make. That one human choice runs the whole show.
The pitfall: thinking AI will replace your judgment. It won't. But it will expose whether you have any.
Intelligence is now abundant. Judgment is the new scarcity. Invest in yours.
Part 2: Your First Bottleneck Map
+10 XP on completion
You just learned: as AI handles thinking, your judgment becomes the scarce resource. Now let's find where YOUR judgment lives.
Today's exercise: open your calendar. Look at your next 3 tasks. For each one, ask: if AI did 80%, what's the 20% only I can decide?
Step 1 — Pick task one. Write exactly what AI could do: research, draft, summarize. Then write what only YOU can do: approve, judge, choose.
Repeat for tasks two and three. You're building your Bottleneck List — the decisions where your judgment is the whole game.
Now commit: pick one bottleneck from your list. Decide — even imperfectly — before the day ends. That is your first judgment rep.
Every day you decide at the bottleneck, your judgment compass gets stronger. Today, the frame is bare — but the journey begins.
